It’s that time again - time for another outdoor sale hosted by Needful Things Market! Our Western Days Outdoor Sale Extravaganza was a success and a huge hit, and we’re excited to do it again with a whole new theme for June: the Crazy Hat Outdoor Sale!

Just like our May sale, our June Crazy Hat Outdoor Sale will feature Bobo’s BBQ and outdoor sales, but our June event will also feature a crazy hat competition!

Crazy Hat Contest Rules:

  • The “crazy” portion of the hat must not be part of the hat upon purchase. What this means is you can purchase a sunhat, baseball cap, etc., but it should be relatively plain to begin with.

  • Hats must be altered in some way. Put some good ol’ fashioned sweat into it!

  • Hats must be worn in order to compete.

  • Have fun with it! As long as you’ve altered your hat in some way, feel free to go crazy with your crazy hat ideas! Give it a theme, or feathers, or just a whole bunch of random goodies to make your crazy hat uniquely you - it’s up to you just how crazy your hat can get!

  • All participants must be present at 3 PM on June 19th for our Crazy Hat Parade in order to be eligible to win the prize: a trophy created by the one and only Debi Thompson!

The competition is for the public, vendors, and for people of all ages, but for those who are looking for a fun activity for the kids, we will also have a kid’s craft table indoors where kids can make their own crazy hats! Participation rules and expectations for those who wish to sell goods at our outdoor sale are the same as our May sale and can be seen below.

Outdoor Sale Participant Information:

Needful Things Market will be renting out parking spaces (approximately 6”x6”) to serve as our Outdoor Sale spots. Each spot costs $10 for vendors and $20 for non-vendors to rent and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. These spaces function like your own garage sale: each participant will be responsible for providing their own change, bags, tables, etc. (Tables can be rented from Needful Things Market for an additional $5, but these are extremely limited.) Participants can begin setting up their spaces at 9AM on the day of the sale and may shut their spaces down at 3PM (the official end of the sale) or stay until the store closes (7PM).

More details will be provided to participants upon registration. Rental fee due upon registration to reserve a space. Unlike our indoor booth rental, preference will not be given to vendors. Spaces are limited, so if you’re interested in becoming an outdoor sale participant, don’t hesitate to stop in (or call if you’re paying by phone) and sign up!
